Mobile data for a China itinerary
Trips may combine major cities, domestic flights, high-speed rail and regional excursions. Connectivity and performance can vary by location, building, transport route, available local network and the provider arrangement, so keep essential addresses, tickets and booking details available offline.
Estimate data needs around navigation, translation, messaging, transport updates and accommodation contact. Video, cloud backup and hotspot use can consume an allowance much faster than basic travel tasks.
Check device compatibility before purchase
The exact phone or tablet must support eSIM and may need to be carrier-unlocked. Compatibility can differ by model number, country of purchase and mobile carrier even when devices share the same product name.
Check the device identifier and Yesim’s current compatibility information. If the device uses dual SIM, review how it selects the data line and handles calls or verification messages on the home number.
Install and prepare before departure
Where the provider instructions permit it, install the eSIM using reliable internet before travelling. Save the installation guidance securely, label the travel profile clearly and understand whether installation alone starts the plan.
Do not delete an installed profile unless the provider confirms it can be downloaded again. Keep the home SIM from using unintended roaming data by reviewing mobile-data switching and roaming settings before the flight.
Activation and data settings on arrival
Installation and activation are not always the same event. Follow Yesim’s current instructions for selecting the eSIM as the mobile-data line, enabling any required data-roaming setting for that profile and confirming when validity begins.
If service does not connect, use the provider’s troubleshooting instructions rather than repeatedly removing the profile. Access to Wi-Fi during initial setup can be useful, but public networks should be treated with normal security caution.
Online services and practical limitations
Internet availability, website or app access, network behaviour and local requirements can differ from a traveller’s home country and can change. An eSIM is a connectivity product; it does not by itself guarantee access to any particular website, app, communication service or online feature.
Before purchase, check the provider’s current China plan description and support information for the services important to the trip. Lunaviax does not promise that an eSIM bypasses blocking, filtering or other access restrictions.

Confirm that the selected plan explicitly includes China, then review allowance, validity, activation timing, hotspot rules, device support and support channels directly with Yesim. Download accommodation addresses, transport confirmations and other essential information for offline use.
